It is beautifully decorated, and the owners are wonderful. We arrived at the cottage after a long flight from Florida to find drinks and snacks provided for us. In the morning, we drank our coffee on the back patio that overlooks a vineyard. There is a gate that opens up to the vineyard where we took morning walks. The cottage is close to the Silverado Trail where many wineries are located. There is also a Safeway grocery store nearby where we stocked up on some provisions for the weekend. Once you arrive at this home you might find it hard to leave the amazing view, however, the valley below awaits with lots to do! You do not have to go far to the nearest winery, restaurant, walking path or bike trail. Lets start with the sleeping arrangements.... The master suite has its own sitting area, gas fireplace and outside deck as well as full bathroom w/ shower. Bedroom 2 (upstairs) is fitted with firm King mattress and Bedroom 3 with a firm queen mattress and it is also upstairs. The 2nd bathroom upstairs has shower/tub and can be shared or their is a 3rd full bathroom downstairs to accommodate privacy. Downstairs has a large family/media room and pool table. Our cottage offers guests 2 separate suites within Countryside Cottage, the Olive and the Cabernet. Located in a quiet and scenic setting with a location that provides easy access to Downtown Napa, but is also just a few minutes from Silverado Trail, which will lead you North up into the heart of the Wine Country. Countryside Cottage is located on a private gated estate. You will not only be able to enjoy our outdoor seating and it’s vineyard, olive trees and garden views, the swimming pool, and jacuzzi hot tub, but also the comfort of your cottage which provides complimentary cable televisions and WiFi service. The Olive Suite has a private balcony with seating for 2 persons and scenic view. A king sized bed with separate bathroom, offering a tub/shower combination, provide you with abundant fine linens, shower, hair dryer, and curling iron. The decoratively tiled bathroom also offers full counter space, cabinet and drawers. You will find a full sized refrigerator with ice maker, 4 burner stove and full sized oven, garbage disposal, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker available. A basket of supplies for coffee service is provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with place settings, glass ware, utensils, serving pieces and cookware. The dining area and sitting area are large enough to be comfortable for 4 persons to enjoy. An iron and ironing board are supplied, as well. Private parking is available for 2 cars. Guests enter the cottage via the main entrance. In the foyer, there is a door to the left to enter the Olive Suite and to the right is a single flight of stairs leading down to the entrance of the Cabernet Suite. Each offers privacy to its occupants. The Cabernet Suite also provides a king sized bed with separate bathroom appointed with abundant fine linens, shower, hair dryer, and curling iron. The decoratively tiled bathroom offers an oversized shower, full counter space, cabinet and drawers. You will find a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker available. Please note that there is no separate kitchen in the Cabernet. A basket of supplies for coffee service is provided. An iron and ironing board are available. The Cabernet has a private wisteria covered patio with seating. Within The Cabernet you will find your private cedar wood sauna, which is comfortable for 4 persons. Guests are required to complete and sign a rental agreement, which is sent to guests following the online booking process. Once received, guests will receive a confirmation with directions, check in instructions and emergency contact phone numbers. This lovely Tuscan retreat is located on Howell Mountain, just minutes from the charming town of St. Helena in the middle of the world-famous Napa Valley. The property presents a unique combination of luxury and open country living, all minutes from resorts, restaurants, wineries and shopping. The property offers 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, surrounded by dozens of varieties of fruit trees, flower and vegetable gardens, state-of-the-art pool, spa, sauna and open air pool house. The approach is a drive lined with fruit and olive trees that takes you into a generous parking area that will accommodate up to six cars. The main house has an open space plan with beautiful limestone floors, modern art work, and a sunken living room with a cozy seating area centered around the fireplace, with a large flat screen TV. There is a dining area with table and chairs, and a spacious country kitchen and half bath. The space is light-filled and has access to the outside patio, gardens, pool and spa and pool house.The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, cooking utensils and service for 12, pantry, a restaurant quality gas-burning stove, dishwfasher, as well as coffee, cream and tea for the morning. There are fresh farm eggs delivered from the chicken coop on the property available for guests, if they desire. Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms, all with queen beds. All feature quality linens and towels and locally made bath products. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and tub. The master is spacious with an ensuite bath with shower, walk in closet, a fireplace and a separate sunroom with access down to the spacious patio and pool/spa area via a back staircase. There is a dramatic view east into the valley and toward Atlas Peak from the sunroom. There is an additional small bedroom on the first floor off the outside patio with queen bed and ensuite bath with shower. The attached tower has its own private entrance on the first floor to a small living area with limestone floors, fireplace, love seat sofa, compact galley kitchenette and dining area for four. The kitchen is equipped with its own refrigerator, cooktop and microwave, dishes, silverware and basic cookware. There is a bookcase with a small library of books and information on the Napa Valley and wineries in the area, board games and a TV. The first floor features its own entrance to the courtyard, back garden, and landscaped grounds with pool and spa. There are views to the east valley and patio from a bay window. Two queen bedrooms with ensuite baths are located on the second and third floors. Each bedroom has a private bath and balcony. The decor is casual-elegant European country with high-poster feather-beds, armoires, high quality linens and woven shades. The rooms have sweeping views of wooded hillsides,mountains and vineyards. The ambiance is clean, light, serene, quiet and private. The mediterrainen grounds and gardens that surround the house are spacious and lovely and offer a myriad of choices for entertaining, dining and relaxation.
